Merry Jo Gonzales, L.D.O.
With over 35 years of experience in the optical field, Merry Jo brings a wealth of knowledge and a work ethic to go the extra mile for you. Her roots as an optician started in 1976 with Western Optical, then in 1979 at Group Health Optical. She then joined First Hill Optical in 1982, where she worked with the likes of Dr. John Hicks, and M. Kim Jack who were iconic ophthalmologists in Seattle. In 1997, she took over ownership of First Hill Optical where she established a loyal following of satisfied clients.
Merry Jo has been with Broadway Vision Source since 2013, providing the know-how to not only help you to select the right eyewear for your unique styling and visual needs, but to adjust and repair glasses to fit you perfectly. Whether you are a current client of hers or new one, you will not be disappointed in her provision of optical expertise.
As a Licensed Dispensing Optician, Merry Jo joins an already all-star cast of opticians, making our entire group an “A Team” that is top rated in metropolitan Seattle
John Guild, A.B.O.C.
As a 2nd generation optician, John is a true optical artisan, dedicated to providing the best product for you. He began his craft at a high-end optical boutique in his hometown of Denver, and joined Broadway Vision Source in 2005. In addition to providing expert frame styling, John learned the process of “edging” lenses using our Santinelli LEX 1000 to fit them into frames, which gives him unique insight in which frame is most appropriate for your lenses (and visa-versa). He is our go-to-guy for information on why some lens features (such as anti-reflective coatings) will work on some lenses, and not others. John also provides much needed assistance in expert repairs utilizing his skills to resurrect broken glasses, often reaching into our collection of frame parts.
John is a sports enthusiast who will cheer for the Seahawks unless they’re playing against the Broncos.
Soft-spoken yet engaging and possessing a friendly smile, Samantha fits nicely in her role as one of our front desk assistants. Warren Ruby, L.D.O.
Known as the ‘Wizard of Eyes’ on Capitol Hill, Warren Ruby brings over 30 years of optical and managerial experience to Broadway Vision Source. As our Optical Manager, he offers unique expertise in selecting the right eyewear for clients based upon their facial shapes, coloring, and style-expression. “My desire is to help people look and see their very best! In my experience, it takes another person with an objective eye to compliment the individual’s face with eyeglasses. Educating your clients as to the particular styles which suit them best is most challenging and exciting to me!”
Prior to joining us in 2010, Warren was General Manager of an optical boutique on Broadway, and also owned his own optical business in Edmonds, WA. For a time, he was District Manager of Lunettes Cartier, USA.
‘The best compliment on my work comes when another person sees my clients in their new eyewear and states: “Where did you get those? They fit you perfectly!”
Warren is a graduate of the University of Washington, and bestows a powerful operatic voice.
Anna Sirianni, C.P.O.T.
After relocating in 2011 from another Vision Source office in Spokane, Anna was originally hired as a Certified Para-Optometric Technician. However, Anna’s strengths in effective interpersonal communications and administrative skills earned her the role as our Administrative Coordinator. Anna assures that your experience is second to none from the moment you contact us, to the moment you leave. Anna has been twice selected by her BVS peers as Employee of the Year.
Anna was born and raised in the Chicago-land area and still roots for her Chicago Bears. She lives in Issaquah with her husband and enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and weight lifting. Anna is here to help with any questions and concerns related to your experience here at Broadway Vision Source.
John was previously with Furla, then Cole Hahn in downtown Seattle when he decided to switch from high-end shoe and garment sales to optical sales at a nearby optical boutique. His “eye” for fashion and pleasant demeanor gained him notoriety as he built his client base and moved onward to join BVS in 2010. John has since excelled in every facet as a frame stylist, from selecting that frame that’s just the right one for you, to providing you easy to understand lens options.
A native of Seattle, John enjoys travel, cooking, and eating!
